The Sepal business forecasting solution (Sepal BFS) is a volume-based production forecasting tool developed with Subsaharan Atlantic Energy Ltd’s proprietary technology – Sepal. It enables seamless generation of realistic business forecasts associated with integrated production systems within the ambits of commercial, regulatory, economic and production availability constraints.

We undertook a five-year intensive research with the aim to develop the right solution for generating business forecasts for an integrated production system. This research was motivated by the challenges the industry is currently facing in generating reliable integrated production forecasts.

Sepal Drilling and Well Intervention Activity Planner (Sepal DIAP) is a specialised solution that minimises the complexities involved in creating and managing drilling projects on traditional spreadsheets.

It is designed to eliminate challenges related to non-integration of drilling plans and schedules, create a single digital repository for drilling information, and optimise schedules and sequencing of drilling operations.

Sepal PVT Report Management System (Sepal PVT-RMS) is a Windows-based graphical user interface (GUI) application designed to ensure that PVT reports are stored, organised, and tracked in a logical and easily accessible digital platform.

Common practice in the industry today involves the use of spreadsheets and PDF documents to generate PVT reports, which are often not collated in an integrated system as a single source of truth that supports PVT data democratisation.

Sepal PVT-RMS is designed to reduce inconsistencies, process duplications, and the tedium currently experienced by engineers in managing PVT reports and extracting vital information from complex PVT databases for petroleum engineering analysis.

Sepal PVT-RMS provides a single digital and integrated platform, with structured PVT databases, that allows quick access to reliable data for accurate decision analyses and enhanced decision-making.

SEPAL Injectivity Decline Solution (SEPAL IDS) is an injectivity decline modelling tool that provides realistic insight into the common problem of injectivity decline caused by solid particles in injection water. It offers reliable history matching of historical injection data and allows prediction of injectivity decline to enhance realistic design of PWRI procedures, as well as proper planning of injection water treatment and well stimulation.

This software package provides a robust physics-based solution to the four distinct stages usually encountered in the injectivity decline process. They include:

  • Gradual decline of injectivity due to deep bed filtration
  • Rapid decrease due to external cake build-up
